In 1999, when the globally popular Spice Girls were plagued by rumors of disbandment, Simon Fuller, the ace manager who created the Spice Girls, had already begun looking for candidates for a new pop idol group. Soon, Simon Fuller launched his new youth group-S CLUB 7 (Seven Little Dragons) this year.
S CLUB 7 has a strong lineup compared to other popular groups. As the name suggests, it consists of 7 members, including four female members (Rachel, Jo, Hannah, Tina) and three male members (Jon , Bradley, Paul). Compared with Latin America, the Seven Little Dragons' style is younger and more energetic, which can be seen from the fact that Jon, the member at the beginning of the group's formation, was only 16 years old.
The Seven Little Dragons follow a path of acting and singing. Before releasing a record album, the Seven Little Dragons had already starred in the BBC TV series Miami 7 (Miami 7), playing a group of seven members of a pop band striving for the top. This series has been on the BBC TV channel since the spring of 1999, and has received critical acclaim and box office success. S CLUB 7 was successful in dramas and after accumulating enough popularity, they finally began to enter the music industry in a big way.
The Seven Little Dragons have shown great popularity since their debut. Their first single, Bring It All Back, topped the UK Gold Chart as soon as it was released. Their first album of the same name immediately topped the charts in the first week after its release. . Winning the honor of Best New Group at the British Music Awards in 2000, the next four singles released won the first and second place in the British Singles Chart respectively, with sales exceeding 2 million copies. They have successfully become a representative group among the new generation of British idol groups. Later, the Seven Little Dragons successfully entered the North American market with the help of three other TV series set in the United States - "LA 7", "S Club 7 Go Wild" and "Hollywood 7". In March 2002, just as the Seven Little Dragons' career was at its peak, news came out that member Paul had decided to leave the group to form a new metal rock team. Despite the efforts of other members to stay, Paul finally left Seven Little Dragons. The six little dragons who became S CLUB 6 could not hold on for long. In May 2003, after publishing the collection "Best: The Greatest Hits", the members of S Club 7 decided to go solo and pursue personal career development.
