Lund University in Sweden is a modern, highly dynamic and historic university, one of the top 100 universities in the world. Founded in 1666, it has seven departments as well as various research centers and professional academic institutions, covering natural sciences, law, social sciences, economic management, medicine, engineering technology, humanities, theology and art (including music, fine arts and drama). With nearly 7,000 faculty and staff, it is the largest higher education and scientific research institution in Northern Europe. As Sweden's highest-ranked university in the world, QS ranked 60th in the world and 10th in Europe in 2014. Lund University is one of the top universities in Europe, and the amount of Swedish national financial expenditure is far ahead among major Swedish schools. Its scientific research capabilities in almost every major are among the top three in Sweden, and its comprehensive capabilities are evident. In the 2014 Swedish government survey for high school students, Lund University continued to be the most desirable university among Swedish high school students with a score of 12. The second place is the University of Gothenburg, followed by Uppsala University and Stockholm University. Lund University has established extensive cooperation with Chinese higher education and scientific research organizations - in September 2007, Lund University organized the Nordic China Forum, with experts and scholars from Nordic scientific and educational organizations and the Chinese Academy of Sciences In-depth discussions were held on cooperation between the two parties in life sciences, information science, nanoscience, and environmental resource science, aiming to further promote and realize scientific and technological cooperation with Nordic countries. In 2015, Lund University was invited to participate in the China International Education Exhibition and organized on-site publicity and enrollment work with Media Asia Study Abroad.
