The movie Requiem for a Dream is adapted from a novel by Hubert Selby Jr., which describes a group of people's luxury addiction embarrassment-drugs, illegal drugs, caffeine and dreams. Plot

In a poor area in the United States, there lived a mother and son. My son Harry is a failure in life. He is addicted to TV and chocolate and feels very lonely. He hoped that time would bring him back to his youth, when his mother in red always attracted the attention of his classmates. In order to "pursue a better life", he became addicted to drugs. He deeply loves a lovely but drug-addicted woman Marion, but he can't live a happy life in a normal way. In order to get rid of his miserable fate, he decided to take risks and make a lot of money by selling heroin with his girlfriend and good friend Tyrone, but this dream inevitably failed, and he and his lover were devastated by spirit and body.

His mother is middle-aged, fat and untidy. She endured her son's endless demands and lived a hopeless life. Until one day, she received a phone call from a TV station, asking her to participate in the production of a program.
