Goal
Eliminate children's strangeness and vigilance towards teachers, and then get close to teachers.
Prepare
to make three masks out of cardboard, drawing happy, sad and angry expressions respectively. Put the child's chair in an arc around the teacher.
process
1. The teacher introduced himself
The teacher introduced himself in a kind and gentle tone: "Hello, children! I am Teacher X, and I will do activities and play games with you every day. " "I am a teacher like you, who laughs, cries and sometimes gets angry!
2. Guess the mask
The teacher told the children, "There are three masks behind me: happy, sad and angry. Now I'm going to draw one for the children. Please guess which one I will draw? " Ask several children to guess.
The teacher said, "One, two, three! Look! What face is it? Who guessed right just now? " "You guessed it right just now. It's a cheerful face." Then, the teacher put the mask close to his face and said, "The teacher is very happy today, because I see so many lovely children, and I really like you!" Do you like me? Shall I shake hands with you? " The teacher stepped down from the seat, shook hands with the guessed children first, and then made out with them one by one (patting on the shoulder, etc.).
3. Continue to ask children to guess the masks that may be drawn.
Suggestions
1. When the same mask appears repeatedly, the teachers can give different reasons.
2. Teachers' reasons should arouse children's sympathy. If you draw a mask of anger, the teacher can say, "Ouch! The teacher slipped on the watermelon skin, and it hurt! The teacher is really angry! Now, would you please come to the front and shake hands with the angry teacher and say,' Teacher X, please don't be angry'? "
3. This activity can also be used in middle and large classes, but the goal should be changed to: guide children to pay attention to other people's expressions and learn to correctly understand and express emotional experiences. The activity process should also be changed to: children take turns as the host (that is, the original teacher role), and children who guess the mask they have drawn need to think of a way to comfort or share the host's emotions.
