Quanzhou Nanyin has famous songs such as "The Story of Jingchai", "The Story of White Rabbit", "The Story of Worshiping the Moon", "The Story of Killing the Dog" and "The Story of Pipa".
1. "The Story of Jingchai"
An ancient Chinese southern drama script. Its authors have different opinions. Xu Wei of the Ming Dynasty recorded "The Story of Wang Shipeng and Jingchai" in "Nanci Narratives: Old Chapters of the Song and Yuan Dynasties" as being written by an unknown person, and there was an adaptation by Li Jingyun in the early Ming Dynasty. It eulogizes the "righteous husband and chaste wife" and the undying love between husband and wife throughout life and death.
2. "White Rabbit"
"White Rabbit", also known as "Liu Zhiyuan's White Rabbit", is a Southern Opera work of the Yuan Dynasty, compiled by talents from the Yongjia Calligraphy Society, and tells the story of Liu Zhiyuan and Liu Zhiyuan. The story of Li Sanniang's joys and sorrows. Together with "The Story of Jing Chai", "The Story of Killing the Dog" and "The Story of the Moon Worship Pavilion", it is also known as the "Four Southern Operas".
3. "Moon Worship"
"Moon Worship" is a Hunan opera directed by Zhang Tianci and starring Xu Shaoqing, Peng Linong and others.
4. "Killing a Dog"
"Killing a Dog", a Chinese opera script, is said to have been adapted by Xu in the early Ming Dynasty based on the old version of the Song and Yuan Dynasties.
5. "Pipa Chronicles"
Gao Zecheng's classical opera masterpiece "Pipa Chronicles" tells the story of Cai Bojie, a famous scholar from the Han Dynasty who went to Beijing to take the exam and was planning to marry Niu Xiangfu but did not return for three years. His parents died in a famine, and his wife Zhao Wuniang sold her hair to bury her relatives. Carrying her pipa, she went to Beijing to find her husband. Finally, the couple met in the library and returned to the family to pay homage to the grave.
