The powerful vow of Medicine Buddha cured my leukemia

2013 is the fourth year since I was cured of leukemia. Today, I write down what happened to me, firstly, to fulfill a promise I made, and secondly, to tell all the people who are fighting against diseases like me, believe in Buddhism, and you will find a solution if you believe in Buddhism. You can create your own "miracle of willpower".

After years of hard work, I was admitted to the master's program of the Conservatory of Music in 2007. When I was in a good mood, I went to the hospital because my throat kept being swollen and painful. When the doctor took the test results and told me that he suspected a blood disease, my answer was "It's impossible." At that time, I thought, like most people, that people suffering from this disease would have a persistent high fever and general weakness. But the next bone biopsy results showed that I really had leukemia.

So I was admitted to Peking Union Medical College Hospital and received chemotherapy. Initially, the chemotherapy worked well and the condition was quickly under control. Unexpectedly, the infection also came fiercely, and I got a lung infection. When the lung infection was just cured, I started to have diarrhea due to the side effects of the medicine. I had diarrhea more than ten times a day, sometimes even more than twenty times a day. Prolonged diarrhea caused an imbalance of trace elements in my body, causing a large amount of water to accumulate in my chest and abdomen. I couldn't sit up or lie down because that would compress my heart.

Every day, I couldn’t eat or drink. I was taking medication 24 hours a day, and I couldn’t even sleep. The person was groggy and in great pain all day long. At this moment, my mother received a call from Mr. Ma Mingbo. After learning about my condition, Brother Marco said to my mother: "On the one hand, we should actively treat it, and on the other hand, we must believe in the compassion of Buddha and Bodhisattvas. We must firmly believe that if there is Buddhism, there will be a method."

Brother Ma's words , has become a strong spiritual pillar for our family. Immediately afterwards, Brother Ma took time to accompany my parents to the famous ancestral home of Zen—Berlin Zen Temple in Zhao County, Hebei Province. At his suggestion, my parents conducted two "Buddha" sessions for me. One was to save my enemies and creditors from past tribulations, and the other was to pray to Buddhas and Bodhisattvas to bless me and restore my health as soon as possible.

After the Buddhist service, my parents went to visit the abbot of Berlin Zen Temple and my refuge, the great monk Minghai. After understanding my family's anxiety, the great monk Minghai gave my mother a copy of the "Medicine Master Sutra" and told her, "Let Yue Yue recite this sutra every day! Have faith in the Buddha and Bodhisattvas!"

Here is another interlude. Later, I heard from my parents that when they and Brother Ma were on their way back to Beijing from Zhao County, because my condition worsened, the doctor from Union Hospital called my parents to tell them that "the condition was getting worse."

My parents were so anxious that my father was so panicked that he couldn't even drive. Brother Ma was very calm. He said to my parents: "It doesn't matter. This shows that the Buddha and Bodhisattvas mediate between the sworn relatives and creditors. Since the sworn relatives and creditors made her sick, how can they easily let her go? The blessing of Buddha's power not only blesses Yue Yue is also blessing her enemies and creditors. Although it is said that it is better to dissolve enemies than to tie them up, they still want to give Yue Yue a try before untying the knot, so don’t worry.

After that, although my condition worsened from time to time, a miracle really happened to me!

My condition worsened day by day, and the hospital issued critical illness notices several times. My relatives at home came to see me, and they all shook their heads and thought there was no hope. There was hydrops in the chest, and all rescue measures were used. In desperation, my mother asked the great monk Minghai for his blessing. In the morning, my mother called the great monk Minghai, and the master agreed to bless me. At noon, the amount of fluid discharged from my pleural cavity reached 7000 ml. In the afternoon, my attending doctor came to work and said to me: "More and more, there is no more fluid."

To facilitate the infusion and protect my arm Blood vessel, the doctor tied an indwelling tube in my right arm. Because the nutrient solution for maintaining vital signs was too viscous, my indwelling tube became clogged, so I had to switch to my left arm and re-tie it. At that time, due to chemotherapy, the blood vessels in my left arm were already very thin, and it was difficult for the intubation nurse to find the right position. Before the nurse came to tie the tube, my mother said to me: "When the nurse came to tie the tube, family members were not allowed in the ward. I went out first. Your father and I chanted Buddha's name for you outside the ward, and you yourself visualized the pharmacist vigorously. The Buddha is using glass to illuminate you." After saying that, my mother went outside the ward.

At that time, I was almost in a semi-conscious state, so I relied on my little clear consciousness to visualize the blue portrait of the Medicine Buddha in the "Medicine Master Sutra". Think hard. Unexpectedly, contrary to the nurse's expectations, the thick needle used for feeding the tube went in, but the indwelling tube still couldn't be fed in, no matter how hard it was pushed.

The nurse was a little discouraged. She rubbed her hands in front of the hospital bed and said to me, "No, I have to pull out the needle." When she lowered her head and was about to pull out the needle, she suddenly said in surprise, "That's weird. The indwelling tube goes in by itself!” The subsequent X-ray showed that the indwelling tube was in a very good position, reaching directly under the clavicle. It’s a better location than last time and it took less time.

After more than 5 months of treatment, I was discharged from the hospital and went home to rest. During this period, I insisted on reciting the "Medicine Master Sutra" every day, and repented before reciting the sutra. After reciting the sutra, I made vows to make dedications for myself and all those who were suffering from illness.

When I returned to the hospital for follow-up treatment, everything went smoothly. Every time I undergo chemotherapy, I recite "Namo Medicine Master Glazed Light Tathagata" silently in my heart. I pray to the Buddha and Bodhisattva to bless me so that the chemotherapy drugs can have the greatest effect in my body.

A miracle happened again!

The same chemotherapy drug took 7 to 14 days to work in other people's bodies, but it took three weeks to work in my body. This allowed me to lengthen the interval between chemotherapy treatments and buy time for my body to recover as quickly as possible. As for me, except for blood and platelet transfusions during the first treatment, I never had any blood product transfusions during subsequent treatments, nor did I even receive "Shengbai Injection".

Although the situation is moving in a good direction, like all leukemia patients, I face the problem of bone marrow transplantation. A large number of leukemia patients are cured through transplantation. Of course, a very small number of patients, less than 5%, can be cured through chemotherapy. Would I be that lucky? I dare not hope.

At the beginning of treatment, I had a huge reaction to the medication and became very weak. In the process of finding a suitable bone marrow match, there were many twists and turns, and no suitable match was found. Later, when I was discharged from the hospital, the doctor told me with a smile: "Yue Yue, to be honest, with your physical condition at that time, even if we find a suitable match, we would not dare to transplant you. The risk is too great!" However, , but at that time, I was full of expectations in my heart, hoping to find a bone marrow match as soon as possible.

At that time, in order to make my body stronger so that I could receive a bone marrow transplant, I underwent chemotherapy again and again.

In the autumn of 2009, Ma Ge published "The Miracle of Willing Power". He said he would give a copy to my mother. When meeting my mother, Brother Ma said, "You and Yue Yue should focus on the chapter 'The Miracle of Willing' in this book. Maybe a miracle will happen." This sentence made my mother very happy. , she said: "I hope a miracle can happen thanks to your blessing!" Brother Ma said: "I don't have that much power. I have to ask for the blessing of Buddha Bodhisattva."

During that period, I My father went to the hospital every few days to ask if a suitable match had been found. At that time, my family discussed that if it was difficult to find a transplant, they would ask my brother to do a matching transplant for me. Before, the immediate family members had all tested it. Among the relatives, my brother and I were half identical. However, in response to my family's suggestions, the attending doctor believed that haploidentical transplantation could be performed, but my condition was improving and I could not consider transplantation for the time being.

One month later, after the doctor looked at my latest test report, he told my father: "It's getting better, there's no need for a transplant."

My father was wide-eyed. Eyes, he couldn't believe this was real. He took my test report to other hematologists in the hospital. After reading the report, the expert also smiled and said to my father, "Don't worry, your daughter is really well. She doesn't need a transplant."

This amazing news made me happy. I was stunned! Tears filled my eyes, and I clasped my hands together excitedly, grateful for the blessings of Buddha and Bodhisattvas! There really is a way if there is Buddhism, there really is a "miracle of the power of vows"! It turns out that everything the Dharma says is really true!

All my relatives and friends are sharing my joy. When I calmed down, I thought, why am I so lucky? After thinking about it, I think it is because of the power of Buddhism! It’s because of the compassion of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas! It's because I have faith! It was the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas who gave me blessings and new life. When I thanked Master, the great monk Minghai said, "Thank you to the living Bodhisattvas.

"He asked me to thank the Union medical staff who saved me on the line of life and death. I think they are the living Bodhisattvas mentioned by Master.

Therefore, I am willing to write down this experience: first, to encourage all people who are seriously ill - even if you have no faith, you can learn from my experience and find spiritual support; second, I use these words to express my gratitude to all those who have blessed me, and to those invisible but real Buddhas and Bodhisattvas!
