1. Start by listening to a certain type of works by a certain master
As a junior classical music lover, you must start by focusing on studying a certain master to appear professional. The Bach's cello suite we inserted above can be simply understood as Bach + strings. So, we started listening to all Bach’s orchestral music. Bach's "Brandenburg Concerto No. 2" and "Double Violin Concerto in D minor" are both good choices.
After that, we will change the daily alarm clock to a piece of Bach. We can also play Bach as background music to soothe our ears while reading or doing housework at home.
2. Let’s get to know the master again
3. Next, listen to the master’s different types of works
After understanding the master’s story and background, let’s start again Get to know him more broadly across other genres. For piano music, we can listen to Bach's "Gothenburg Variations Suite"; for organ music, we can listen to the most famous "Toccata and Fugue in D minor" (BWV565); and for oratorios, we can choose No. 140 "Wake Up" and so on.
