With his unique star quality, Zheng Binhui was discovered by a TV station producer in 1998 when he was working as the general manager of an international chain organization and was invited to star in a TV series. From then on, he started a bright career in acting.
He made his debut in the unit drama "Fringe Files - Mr. Charming" and received a warm response from the audience, which immediately made him a first-line male artist. In 1999, he starred in his first TV series "The Wrong Body" He served as the leading actor in "Double Treasures". In the same year, he performed the role of gangster brother "Liu Mei" in "A Way Out" with mature acting skills beyond his acting years, and won the "Star Awards" (an annual awards ceremony organized by Singapore's major media organization "MediaCorp") for Best Actor. Proficient in both Chinese and English, he is one of the few actors who can produce dramas in both Chinese and English.
Because of his acting potential, many famous overseas directors continue to invite him. In 2000, he was invited to make a cameo appearance in the film "Summer Tea" by Hong Kong director Ma Chucheng, co-starring with diva Sammi Cheng. In 2001, he played the leading role in the stage play "Butterfly Love" by the famous Hong Kong stage producer and film director Ko Chi-sum. He received an enthusiastic response from the audience. Not only did he sell out the theater, but he also performed an additional performance.
In addition to acting, his singing and musical talents are also eye-catching. He often sings the theme songs and interludes of TV series himself, and has demonstrated his live singing ability in various large-scale programs.
In 2001, he became the spokesperson of the internationally renowned watch brand "TAG Heuer". Other spokespersons of this brand include Zhang Ziyi and athlete Marion Jones.
