In 2008, Mo Xizishi composed his first Yi song "Road". This song was later included in the solo album "Black Eagle Dream" by Vaqi Yihe, a member of the Shanying group, and was renamed "Don't Be Afraid". In 2012, it was sung by Jike Junyi on "The Voice of China" .
In 2009, Mo Xizishi and Zifeng formed two copper bands. During this period, they were doing Japanese translation work while rehearsing and occasionally performing at one or two special concerts in Beijing or at music festivals in other places. Mo Xizishi mostly improvises, creates, and tinkers with the small musical instruments he collects with his musical friends to make drama music and movie soundtracks.
In 2011, Mo Xizishi quit his job and began to devote himself to music creation. He met Dou Wei and began to frequently play improvised music together while organizing and preparing his first record. In May, Mo Xizishi participated in a TV talent show for the first time and won the "Most Emotional Vocal Award" in the program "Seven Star Love Songs". He collaborated with Dou Wei on "Untitled" and was included in the FM3 album "Harmonious Blessings".
In 2012, he participated in the Guilin Landscape Music Festival and served as the vocal/guitar member of Dou Wei’s band.
In early 2013, Jijie collaborated with Mo Xizishi on "Introduction: The Long Road to Return" in his solo album "From the Deep". In May, Mo Xizi Poems and Celebration, Li Daiguo and other musicians improvised the opening music of the 4th Beijing Nanluoguxiang Theater Festival at Zajia. In June, he sang a number of songs at the TEDxJingAn conference with the theme of "ThinkMatters" and the theme of "The Lost Forest". In October, he participated in the Zhujiajiao Water Village Music Festival in Shanghai and sang many ethnic songs. And performed on stage at the Shanghai Lujiazui Center Greenland Riverside Music Festival.
In January 2014, Mo Xizishi sang "I Will Die in Your Hands" written by poet Yu Xinqiao in "Chinese Good Songs", which was well received by the instructor and quickly became popular.
