Huang Huiyin, who perfectly combines music and Buddhism, always believes that the “inspiration” accumulated on the creative journey does not fall out of thin air, but comes from the encounters in life. The inspiration and respect of faith

She said that whether you are satisfied with your own achievements cannot be measured by current market sales, because it all depends on whether the individual’s performance requirements are high or low. And her attitude is: let everything go.

“I try to present music in another way to give myself diversified growth and attempts, such as for the ASTRO Rookie Competition, Miss Chinese International Malaysia and Filling in the theme song for the Senior Singing Contest is a kind of learning, and this experience can also be used in future creations. ”

Symphony

Many things have no reason. Sometimes you can breathe smoothly, but you will also feel anxious; just when you decide to take off the armor you have worn for a long time, you will often feel anxious again. Think carefully: Should you take off the animal skin? Or put on the mighty armor again?

When you find that the pain and absurdities in life are so natural, and tears are not the best way to deal with them. When it comes to good medicine, change your perspective, or even your mood, and go to a symphony to communicate with your soul.

People seem to be reincarnated in "gain and loss", and this kind of uneasy feeling Who is willing to soothe her mood?

After all, no one wants to be discriminated against. ”

“I am not making excuses for people who commit crimes. If a person commits a crime, it is difficult to control it. There are often many reasons behind it. Why can’t people be kinder to the people around them, even if it is just a crime? When an employee collecting fees at a toll booth greets the other person as a good friend, he or she will respond with a smile. ”

3. Mother-in-law and mother-in-law Huang Huiyin. Compose new music for sutras and mantras

When I first heard "Huang Huiyin", I had an intuition - she is related to music, maybe because of the word "yin"! Later I learned that she was the composer of "The Chant of Metta", and I felt that this name suited her very well. When I met her, the first question was: "Is this your real name?" She smiled and nodded and said, "Yes!". I'm thinking that maybe her parents hope that their daughter will bring a note of wisdom to everyone!

The sutras and mantras sound good

Before composing Buddhist music, Huiyin was a music teacher and occasionally composed theme music and drama background music for TV stations. I met He Linghui and Zhang Jifu. At that time, they wanted to compose some Buddhist verses into music. From this, Huiyin also took the first step in composing Buddhist music.

Later she learned that many young people did not like to listen to the scriptures, and even thought that the scriptures were only used when performing rituals. She thought: "If we modernize its music, most of the If everyone can accept it, isn’t that a wonderful thing?"

So over the years, her works include the Sanskrit version of "Zhunti Divine Mantra", "Great Auspicious Goddess Mantra", "Rebirth Mantra", "Great Compassion Mantra" Sanskrit version, "Heart Sutra" (Chinese version and Sanskrit version), "Avalokitesvara's Mantra for Cure", "Medicine Buddha Mantra", "Metta Sutra" (Chinese and English versions), "Halo'd Triumphs" (Auspicious Victory) (verse), the music composition of "The Musical of the Life of Sakyamuni Buddha", etc.

Huiyin has had a good learning environment since she was a child. Mother Huang, who is also a music teacher herself, not only teaches her children how to play the piano herself, but also often takes them to participate in piano competitions, concerts and other music performances. “When I was a child, our family would always gather outside during the Mid-Autumn Festival. The public and children will take turns to present performances, and my brothers and sisters and I will form a band to entertain everyone!" Huiyin happily recounted the scene at that time, allowing the listeners to feel the joy.

This kind of influence nourished Huiyin’s musical cells.

Dream of Grandma

Huiyin has always relied on self-study in composition and arrangement. She bought a keyboard and slowly figured out the tricks on it, which is how she started her attempts at arranging.

Huiyin is happy to share music with everyone. She said: "Every time I listen to music, I am very interested in studying how the music is made, such as its drum sounds and chords. "What kind of matching method does it have with the piano? If you listen more, play more, and compose more, you will gradually become proficient."

For Huiyin, the background of music education is actually just a foundation. She said: "If you want to engage in arranging, it's not difficult. As long as you have perseverance and are willing to listen more and be exposed to more, you can learn. You don't have to have a high music diploma to do it!"

Having come from Taiping, she considers herself a beginner in Buddhism. "Since composing Buddhist songs, my body and mind have become more and more happy. I listen to and recite sutras almost every day, because many of them are composed and sung by myself!" she said with a smile.

With the sound of Dharma floating in the air, the magnetic field of the whole life is different. For some reason, when Huiyin was making Buddhist music, she always dreamed of her grandmother, who had died many years ago. "Grandma is also a music-loving teacher. She often taught us nursery rhymes when we were young and sang with us."

Once she dreamed that her grandma was wearing a beautiful military uniform in heaven, holding a stick. The baton directed a group of people to sing on a vast grassland. She walked forward, and her grandmother said to her: "It's great that you have composed so many songs. I have songs that I can use to teach them to sing!"

A few months later, when When "Heart Sutra" was about to be released, she dreamed of her grandmother again. This time, her grandma took her for a walk on the hillside. There were many stars and a bright moon in the sky. She said to her grandma: "Grandma, I composed the music for the Heart Sutra. Do you think it sounds good?" Grandma said, "This is your song." The "Heart Sutra" is as gentle and bright as the stars and the moon in the sky, and can bring people a lot of happiness and peace!" These dreams are difficult for her to explain today, and they also give her confidence and confidence invisibly.

Heartfelt Touched

"Metta Sutra" was a hymn suggested to her by a friend. Since its launch in 1998, it has been very popular and well received. "At that time, I just wanted to compose a tune for such a good hymn and let it circulate in their circles, but I didn't expect the response would be so good."

This soft and touching "Metta Sutra" only It was completed in just one day. She said: "When I was writing the "Metta Sutra", I didn't deliberately look for inspiration. When I heard Master reciting the "Metta Sutra", I was naturally moved, and my creative energy just emerged!"

Since she had never come across this sutra before, her friend gave her a cassette recording a Burmese master reciting the "Metta Sutra" in Pali. There was no soundtrack, just a plain and low voice, but it gave her a strong inspiration to compose a piece of music full of peaceful mood. "The success of the "Metta Sutra" should not only be seen from the perspective of music. In fact, the scriptures themselves are very powerful. This magnetic field can really soothe people's hearts."

She is serious. Said: "Buddhist scriptures themselves are a great inspiration."

For Huiyin, composing Buddhist music has its differences from other music.

"When I compose Buddhist music, I don't do technical research, but naturally compose music based on the feeling given by the scriptures." Huiyin, who has broad ideals, has also tried other types of music. Allow yourself to leap to another stage and make a breakthrough. "Engaging in other music creations will stimulate your own thoughts. These experiences will be useful when composing Buddhist music! This is a good balance."

Huiyin established her own company. In addition to producing music, this "Wishful Music Studio" also releases her Buddhist music albums. Huiyin said with a calm and happy face: "My work is my biggest interest. Sometimes I am happy even if I work day and night. I hope people who listen to my music can also be happy."
