Li Chengru’s son is Li Dahai.

Li Dahai, born in Beijing on June 11, 1985, is a male singer, actor and musician from Mainland China, and a psychological rehabilitation instructor of the Dongcheng District Disabled Persons' Federation in Beijing. In 2002, Li Dahai was brought into the film and television industry by his father Li Chengru, and played the role of buddy Zhang Haidong in the TV series "The Story of the Detective". In 2005, he played Hu Dongbo, the son of Haining Group Vice President Hu Bigang, in the urban suspense "Thrilling Life" directed by Huang Lijia.

In May 2006, Li Dahai participated in the TV series "Escape from Shangri-La" directed by Zhou Xiaowen. In July, he graduated from Shengji Art Institute and signed a contract with China Television Film and Television in October. In October 2007, Li Dahai released his first album "Haizi".
