Requesting information about Mika

Mika, formerly known as Mica Penniman, was born on August 18, 1983 in Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, into an American-Lebanese family (his father is American and his mother is Lebanese). When he was a child, his family moved around Paris. When he was 9 years old, his family settled in London.

Young Mika likes music and telling stories in songs. His interest in music, coupled with the professional training he received at the Royal College of Music, gave him the aura of musical genius as soon as he appeared on the scene. Mika came to prominence on BBC Radio 1 in September 2006, and soon after, he received the most votes in the BBC website's 2007 Voice of the Year poll.

Mika's first single "Relax, Take It Easy" was played by BBC Radio 1 and praised by well-known DJs. On January 8, 2007, Universal Records released his single "Grace Kelly", which quickly topped the UK singles chart. On February 5, 2007, Mika took advantage of the victory and released his first album "Life In Cartoon Motion". His music combines dance music, funk, pop and other elements. In a short period of time, his ambiguous personal life and musical talent quickly opened up his reputation. When people talk about him, he is always compared to Freddie Mercury, George Michael, the Scissor Sisters, Rufus Wainwright and Elton John
