Where is A Bing’s tomb now?

On December 4, 1950, a generation of folk artists passed away and was buried in the Yihe Mountain Fangdao Tomb. It's a pity that it was destroyed during the Cultural Revolution. In May 1979, the famous painter Han Keyuan discovered A Bing's tombstone in a farmer's pigsty. After washing it, he gave it to the Wuxi Museum. In 1953, the Abing Monument was built in Xihui Park.

Originally named Hua, he became a Taoist priest at the age of 8 with his father, Taoist Master Hua Qing. He studied in private school for three years and learned erhu, pipa and other musical instruments from his father. At the age of 17, he was officially able to participate in performances and was hailed as a "little performing expert" by the world. After the death of his father He Huaqing, he became a Taoist priest. Later, because of careless friendships, he not only became involved in prostitution but also took opium. At the age of 34, he became blind and had to take to the streets as a busker. Thus, "Blind Man Bing" was born. During this period, A Bing composed a large number of classic songs such as "The Moon Reflects on the Second Spring", "Listening to the Pine", "Zhaojun Leaving the Fortress" and so on.

On December 4, 1950, Abing died of illness and was buried in the Yihe Mountain Fangdao Tomb. Later, due to the destruction of the Cultural Revolution, the new Abing Tomb occupied an area of ??742 square meters and consisted of a tomb wall and a wing wall, like a music station. In front of Abing's tomb stands a bronze statue of blind Abing. To the southeast of A Bing's tomb, there is a fascinating natural stone that resembles a Taoist couch.

A Bing’s tomb was damaged, but fortunately, the original tombstone was found and is now collected in the Wuxi Museum.
