The songs performed include: Xinjiang folk song "Alar Khan" and "The Girl from Dabancheng" "Dudar and Maria", Sichuan folk songs "Boxwood Pole" and "Ode to Beijing", "Ode to Yan'an", "Eighty Years of Books", "Boatman's Chant" and "Night on the Prairie". He also composed songs such as "I Love Wuzhishan, I Love Wanquan River" and "Goodbye, Mom". He has sung for more than 30 feature films such as "Shining Red Star", "Maple", "Plum Blossom Scarf" and "Song in the Vortex" and more than 20 documentaries including "Flying to the Pacific" and "Wandering in Qaidam". He won the first China Golden Record Award and the second China Music Television Gold Award.
