The newly built children's museum is a four-story frame structure with multiple areas for document lending, training and education, and exhibition activities. Its flexible and diverse open space layout, intelligent integrated wiring, advanced electronic equipment and automated network systems, and integrated lending and borrowing service model all reflect the development trends and trends of today's children's museums. The new museum has a collection of more than 300,000 volumes of literature, nearly 10,000 volumes of "little people's books" in the special collection, and more than 100 large toys.

The predecessor of Zhejiang Gongshang University was Hangzhou Secondary Business School founded in 1911. In 1980, Hangzhou Business School was established with the approval of the State Council and was granted the right to grant bachelor's degrees. In 1990, the school was granted the right to confer master's degrees. In 2003, the school was granted the right to confer doctoral degrees and a master's degree in business administration (MBA). In 2004, it was renamed Zhejiang Gongshang University with the approval of the Ministry of Education.
