Bai Yansong, born on August 20, 1968, is a program host and reporter in Mainland China. He graduated from the Journalism Department of Communication University of China.
On August 20, 1968, Bai Yansong was born in Hailar District, Hulunbuir City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. In 1985, he was admitted to the Journalism Department of Communication University of China with excellent results. After entering school, Bai Yansong's academic performance has been very good. After graduating from university in 1989, he was assigned to work at the China Broadcasting Station's "China Radio News".
In 1993, he participated in the creation and hosting of the CCTV news magazine program "Eastern Time and Space" and launched the sub-column "Son of the East". In 1996, he worked on CCTV reporting on the Olympic Games. In 1997, he successively participated in CCTV’s live broadcasts of major events such as the return of Hong Kong and the closure of the Three Gorges Dam.
In 2003, he began to host the news channel's special news program "News Weekly". In 2009, he won the "Discourse Hosting Stars Association Annual Lifetime Achievement Award". In 2016, he won the CCTV Top Ten Outstanding Announcers and Hosts Award. In March 2018, he served as a member of the Population, Resources and Environment Committee of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference. On January 11, 2009, Bai Yansong participated in the "Expo City Star" selection at the Shanghai World Expo launch charity gala. ? In 2010, he hosted the "Love in Yushu, Boundless Love - Special Program for Earthquake Relief Fundraising Event" and served as the news connector in the program.
During the Shanghai World Expo, he participated in launching the environmental protection initiative of "encouraging the use of handkerchiefs and minimizing the use of paper towels", and also served as the image ambassador of the "Zhilan Environmental Protection Action".
