Introduction: This set of cards was created by Dr. Yu Danhong, Director of Music Education Department of Shanghai Conservatory of Music. Learn the piano, learn music, how can you do without knowing the staff? Reading is too difficult; Contrast with simple music, not thorough; Try the staff card! Intuitive, concise, practical and lively cards help you enter the music hall smoothly! In the long-term practice of music teaching, Dr. Yu found that beginners or musicians will regard the staff as a hurdle, especially children who learn the piano. The difficulty of the staff will make them lose the fun of learning the piano and music. Dr. Yu found that reading music with cards is an intuitive and practical method, which can make piano and music learners easily cross this hurdle, build up confidence and lay a solid foundation for future study.

There are two reasons for writing this set of music reading cards: First, generally, beginners will regard music reading as difficult. And the editor thinks that through reasonable methods, it can be made difficult and easy. Second, Professor Hartman, a famous German music educator, once pointed out: "Entering the door of western music with notation as the carrier may encounter many insurmountable obstacles, and the staff should be popularized among primary and secondary school students in China." -This is the necessity and feasibility of making music-reading cards.

The idea of this set of cards was formed in 1988, when I just set foot in educating piano children. After watching for more than ten years, I feel that the most effective way to solve the problem of reading music is to read music cards. Therefore, under the promotion of East China Normal University Press, 8 score cards have been compiled. The first 4 cards are the most basic concept of staff, the positioning of pitch and the duration of rest. The last 4 cards have not only the recognition of pitch, but also the change of value, as well as some of the most common terms of strength and speed. Users can follow the card number step by step.

Finally, the musicians who wish to use this card are sleepy and happy in reading music! Smooth entry into the world of western music.
