Answers to questions 8 and 9 of Li Chongguang’s basic music theory exercises

If the beat of 83 is changed to 43, when writing, the eighth notes will be rewritten as quarter notes, the corresponding sixteenth notes will be rewritten as eighth notes, and the quarter notes will become Half notes, and so on.

If the beat of eighty-three becomes sixteenth-three, when writing, all eighth notes should be rewritten as sixteenth notes, and the corresponding sixteenth notes should be rewritten as thirty-second notes. The notes become eighth notes, and so on.

This tests the expansion and contraction of the note value. Just pay attention to calculate and change the duration of the corresponding note based on the beat.

Hope this helps
