Creation background

The album was named Yu Xu because Dou Wei thought that "Yu" and "Xu" sounded better together, and the album title was inspired by Dou Wei's sudden generate.

The album Yu Xu was recorded in 2. Due to the disagreement between Dou Wei and Magic Rock of Rolling Stone in that year, the album was not finally published due to copyright issues after the recording was completed. Many year later, Dou Wei had that idea of continue to finish the album, so he took it out and released it.

The recording part of this album has been done for more than two months. In the creative part, there was music first, and then there was Dou Wei's ci. Dou Wei improvised the lyrics during the rehearsal. Dou Wei thought that music was abstract and wanted to make the lyrics abstract, so he blurred the lyrics in his creation.

Dou Wei thought Rain Xu was an important album in his life, so he was very cautious before it was published. It took him two or three months to remake it, and the sound quality and post-production were reworked.
