First-time registration cannot exceed level 3. Levels 3-7 can be passed one level, and levels 8-10 can be passed level by level. For skip-level registration, only the examination content corresponding to this level will be tested. There will be no additional test tracks and no additional fees for other levels will be charged. The national piano grading examination is divided into 10 levels, with the highest level being 10.

The highest level of the piano examination at the Central Conservatory of Music is level 9, which is more difficult than the national piano examination level 10. In principle, it is not possible to skip the level exam, and the basic knowledge of music needs to be tested during the exam. Among them, the first and second level Candidates do not need a "music-based" certificate. Candidates with Level 3 or above must present a "Basic Sound" certificate.
