The local education bureau of each region has express regulations on school textbooks, and you cannot buy them at will. Each province is different, but generally they use: People's Education Press or the regular publishing house of the province.

The textbooks in Chengdu are mainly based on the People's Education Edition, supplemented by Beijing Normal University Edition and Zhejiang Edition. There are also some private schools that, in addition to using the textbooks prescribed by the Education Bureau, will also use the teaching characteristics of the school. Other related teaching materials, such as some foreign language schools, will also introduce foreign English teaching materials in conjunction with the curriculum.
