Connect the iPhone to the computer with a data cable and open iTunes. The "Devices" option will appear in the left navigation bar, including the name of the iPhone, as well as music, movies, books, etc. There are two ways to import music and videos to iPhone: manual import and sync library.
Method 1: Manual import
Manual import requires checking "Manually manage music and videos" at the bottom of the device information page.
Check Manually manage music and videos
After checking this and applying the settings, just drag and drop the music and videos you want to import to iPhone from the local folder directly to In the "Devices" area of ??the navigation bar, iTunes will automatically import it to the device.
Method 2: Synchronize the library
Contrary to manual import, if you use the method of synchronizing the library, you need to cancel the "Manually manage music and videos" item on the device information page . When unchecking, iTunes will pop up a dialog box, prompting the user that if manual management is canceled, the existing music and videos in the iPhone will be replaced with the content in the library.
The meaning of this tip is that if you cancel manual management, you must use library synchronization to import music and videos, that is, keep the music and videos in the iPhone with the iTunes library consistent. If there is other content in the database, the files in the iPhone will be replaced; if there is no content in the database, all existing content on the iPhone will be deleted. Therefore, when changing manual management to synchronous import, you must first confirm whether there are important files in the device.
To import music and videos using the synchronized library method, you need to add local files to the library first.
Click the "File" menu at the top of iTunes and you will see two add options: add files to library and add folders to library. To add files, you can select one or several folders to add, while adding a folder will add all the contents in the entire folder. You can choose which method to use according to your own needs.
Add files or folders to the library
After the import is completed, we can click Music or Video in the library on the iTunes navigation bar to view and manage the library file. At this point, just click the "Sync Button" at the bottom of the device information page to import all the content in the library to the iPhone. If you want to add, delete or modify files in the iPhone in the future, you must first add or delete them in the database and then synchronize them before the corresponding content in the iPhone will change.
It should be noted that music or video files that have been saved in the iPhone cannot be imported to the computer through iTunes, and can only be achieved through third-party software such as ifunbox.
In addition, it is not necessary to import the entire database content into the iPhone every time you synchronize. We can also selectively synchronize according to our own needs.
On the device information page, click the "Music" tab above the device information, enter the synchronized music settings, and change the "Synchronize the entire music library" to "Synchronize the selected playlists, performers, albums, and style".
Then in the playlist or performer list below, check the content you want to synchronize, so that you can selectively synchronize according to the settings here every time you synchronize.
