Cai Dasheng, whose ancestral home is Huangpi, Hubei, was born in Hangzhou in 1958. He is a famous Chinese singer and a lifelong actor at the Swedish Theater, the Norwegian National Opera, and the Gothenburg Opera House. Graduated from the Vocal Music Department of Shanghai Conservatory of Music in 1987. In 1988, he went to Sweden to participate in the International Opera Singer Master Class.
