His love for music soon turned into obsession and madness. All his entertainment time was music. Therefore, at an early age, music theory and five-note music became a wonderful chapter in his eyes. Through reading a large number of classical music works, he tirelessly absorbs musical nutrients. Although he later received a high level of education, he was still a self-taught music lover, always interested in all music and striving for perfection.
Since 1980, he has mainly devoted himself to the creation of film music. At that time, he had more than 70 works, some of which helped him regain his prestige. By 1997, he was globally famous. Among them, his score for Anthony Minghella's "The English Patient" won him an Oscar, a Golden Globe and a Grammy.
But he also composed music for dance, and some choreographers, such as Caroline Carlson and Roland Petit, asked him to compose music for their ballets.
