Tencent Holdings is the majority shareholder of Tencent Music Entertainment Group. Tencent Holdings holds more than 50% of Tencent Music Entertainment Group. Tencent Music Entertainment Group was formed by the merger of Tencent's QQ Music and China Music Group. The merger occurred in July 2016 and was subsequently renamed Tencent Music Entertainment Group in January 2017. Tencent Music Entertainment Group has multiple mobile applications in the music and entertainment fields, including QQ Music, and has a huge user base.
