The main seat of Tsinghua University - Tsinghua Park, is located in The scenic garden area in the northwest suburbs of Beijing became an affiliated garden of the Old Summer Palace during the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty, and was called Xichun Garden. During the Daoguang reign, it was divided into two parts: Xichun Garden and Jinchun Garden. During the Xianfeng reign, Xichun Garden was renamed Qinghua Garden.

Projects that have been completed so far include apartments for graduate students, international students and advanced training students in the Bauhinia Student Apartments, the Physics and Chemistry Building, the School of Public Administration and Management Building, the Gerontology Research Center, etc. As of the end of 2007, the school covers an area of ??5.19 square kilometers, with a construction area of ??2.8158 million square meters, a library collection of 3.8096 million volumes, and green spaces such as Tsinghua Ecological Park as reserved development land for the school.

Recently, the school has started construction of major projects including the shooting gallery, the new Tsinghua Academy (Tsinghua Centenary Lecture Hall), the concert hall, the school history museum, the art/museum, the humanities and social sciences library, and the fourth phase of the library expansion. Engineering, etc., these projects will be completed and put into use before the school's centenary anniversary in 2011.
