Craig Wright, Bachelor of Music, Eastman School of Music, 1966, 1972 He received his Ph.D. in philosophy from Harvard University in 2011 and is a professor in the Music Department of Yale University. He has taught at the school for more than 30 years. He has written numerous academic monographs and articles on composers from Leonen to Bach. He is also the recipient of numerous awards, including a Guggenheim Fellowship, the American Musicological Association's Einstein and Golden Cody Awards, and the International Musicological Association's Dent Medal. In 2004, he was awarded an honorary doctorate in the humanities from the University of Chicago. He is also the co-author, with Brian Himes, of Music in Western Civilization (Thomson Hillmer, 2006).
