Peng Liyuan, born on November 20, 1962 in Yuncheng County, Heze City, Shandong Province, is a famous soprano singer in China , China's first master of ethnic vocal music, a national first-class actor, and enjoys the "government subsidy" issued by the State Council. He joined the Communist Party of China in July 1985 and is a civilian cadre of the Chinese People's Liberation Army with military-level treatment.
Peng Liyuan is a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference who was successively elected to the 8th, 9th and 10th Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. In 2005, he was elected Vice Chairman of the All-China Youth Federation. In 2009, he served as the leader of the song and dance troupe of the General Political Department of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. In 2012, he was promoted to dean of the People's Liberation Army Art Academy.
Peng Liyuan is currently the dean of the People's Liberation Army Art Institute, a director of the Chinese Musicians Association, vice chairman of the Chinese Opera Research Association, an executive member of the All-China Women's Federation, a visiting professor at the China Conservatory of Music, and a part-time professor at Peking University and Shanghai Normal University.
