The original appearance of Buddhism is pure and bright, self-defeating, and absolutely equal and selfless. However, due to the lack of education, the public can't know its true colors, resulting in various misunderstandings. There are many factors, such as culture, system and so on, which lead to many disadvantages. In order to make the Dharma reappear, we should make an in-depth review and criticize it. The following remarks are not directed at any specific person or Dojo, but stand in the position of establishing correct knowledge and revitalizing Buddhism, and sincerely speak out. 1 misunderstanding of Buddhism-this department puts forward the clarification of ideas for those who have not yet learned Buddhism and are not deeply educated. * There is no distinction between gods and Buddhists, and Chinese culture is inclusive, and religions that advocate goodness are widely accepted. Up to now, all worshippers who hold incense mistakenly think of Buddhism. In fact, many gods of folk beliefs, such as Lord Cheng, the Land Lord, the Third Prince, and Mazu, are all put on the cloak of Buddhism by laymen, and they don't know the difference between God and Buddhism. Their essence and willingness should be investigated. God is a sentient being in The six great divisions in the wheel of karma, and belongs to those who are blessed by ghosts. Or he made outstanding contributions to the country and mankind before his death, and later generations set up temples to worship him in memory of his kindness. Or because the people's wisdom is not open and they are ignorant of natural phenomena, they are in awe of mountains and rivers. People think that God has the power to control the life and death of all things, and the ability to dominate good fortune and bad fortune, but they don't know that God himself is an ordinary man in the world, and his purpose is nothing more than to persuade the good, and there is no complete and meticulous ideological system. Worshiping God seeks worldly protection and disaster relief, but it is impossible to get rid of it. Other religions affirm that God is unique. God and man are masters and servants, and they can never be equal. Buddha, on the other hand, is a practitioner who puts down his throne, his wife and children and seeks the truth. He is a born saint who understands the truth of the universe and life and proves the wisdom of reaching nature. He advocated that all good fortune and bad fortune should be taken by people themselves. If you don't pay attention to it, you can completely improve your thinking and behavior. Blind worship can't avoid good fortune, let alone purify your personality. Buddha treats all sentient beings with compassion and joy. He is a mentor, so the relationship between Buddha and human beings is a teacher-student relationship. Everyone can become a Buddha as long as he follows his teaching methods. Therefore, Buddha and human beings are equal in nature. * Wisdom fans don't argue, and people often criticize Buddhism as superstition. What is superstition? Believing in a daze without careful thinking and rational discrimination is called superstition. Critics often have never heard the scriptures and heard the Dharma, and even the original intention of [Buddha] is speechless, that is, subjectively identifying Buddhism as superstition. Isn't the critic more blind and superstitious? What is zhixin? Those who are judged by wisdom, observed calmly and found to be kind and beautiful, can make people free, and then accept and believe, which is called wisdom and faith. Liang Qichao often said, "Buddhism is wisdom and belief, not superstition." Buddhism not only does not agree with superstition, but even encourages rational exploration and questioning. This tolerant and realistic attitude is the symbol of wisdom and faith, and it is also the biggest difference between Buddhism and other religions. * Folk heretics are mistaken for Buddhism, and there are many customs among the people, or all kinds of actions of heretics are not true believers in Buddhism. Here are the following: * fortune-telling, fortune-telling, drawing lots, divining divination, feeling bones, etc., to assert the fortunes of life. This is because people are at a loss about their own future, hoping to guide the direction. Buddhism advocates, "If you want to know the cause of the past life, the recipient of this life is, and if you want to know the fruit of the next life, the author of this life is." Your own mind can determine your future destiny. You don't have to rely on fortune telling, you should spin karma. * Geographical geomantic omen, which is related to the north and south poles, magnetic field and underground water flow, is scientific and natural. It does have an impact on the real ordinary people who have not been confused. However, those who have been certified as Siraitia grosvenorii are all pure land, which can be said as [ordinary people turn to their hearts, saints turn to their hearts]. Do your best. However, Buddhism pays attention to the method of mind, and all the blessings are inseparable. The inner mind is far more important than the external geography. * Jumping to the gods to help women, which is a form of folk belief, uses psychics as a bridge to make all kinds of prayers. This is by no means a product of Buddhism, but a category of witchcraft. * Throwing a cup, people can't communicate with ghosts and gods, so in my opinion, they ask themselves and answer themselves, speculating on God's will, but it is actually a matter of probability, which is not credible. * Burning ghost paper began with the promotion of paper merchants in the Han Dynasty, and it has been followed to this day, and even derived the custom of tying paper with ghost tools to pray for the use of the dead. Buddhism holds that if you want to do merit, you should give alms, seal scriptures and support the three treasures in the name of the deceased, which will better benefit the deceased. Covered with cremation paper, the ghost is only useful for ghosts, but the dead may not be reincarnated in ghosts. Moreover, the money of the past life must not be burned, and the mantra is printed on it. If it is cremated, it will be regarded as burning the scriptures, which is a big sin. * Killing people is a gift, and those who don't know it often offer chickens, ducks and fish to Buddha as a sign of sincerity. However, Buddhism is compassionate, advocates the equality of all beings and respects all sentient beings' right to exist. And the six sentient beings, who are married to each other from generation to generation, how do you know that those who were killed were not born to their parents in the past? Is based on its fundamental precept-don't kill. * Wrong cognition-negative, pessimistic and idolatrous. Buddhism reveals the veil of life, and fully sees that its essence is bitter, empty and impermanent. For those who have not gone deep into Buddhism, they often interpret the meaning according to the text and think that Buddhism is negative and pessimistic. In fact, Buddhism is passive in creating evil and positive in doing good to others. Buddhism is willing to pull out the suffering of all sentient beings, so it is a view of compassion, not sorrow. Some people even criticized becoming a monk as unfilial and evading responsibility. As everyone knows, a diversified society needs all kinds of talents. The great task of spiritual salvation depends on monk Baolai. Becoming a monk is a matter for men, not for men. Becoming a monk is the real filial piety, because being a monk is a family of troubles, and what you are doing is Long Shao Buddhism, spreading Buddhism and benefiting life. Bodhisattva Dizang made a vow: "Hell is not empty, and if you swear not to become a Buddha, all beings will be exhausted before you can prove Bodhi." How positive this is! Outsiders often criticize Buddhism for worshipping idols, but they don't know that Buddhism's offering of Buddha statues is a convenient way for worshippers to meet the sage Si Qi and learn the spirit and behavior of Buddhism, not to pray for blessing. Just like the national flag, the national anthem and the cross, they are all symbols of the spirit, and the Buddha statue is also expressive. Buddhism was originally separated from the world, never leaving the world, and the Diamond Sutra is even more disfigured. How can we worship idols? But there is no phase, that is, the heart is the Buddha
