Introduction to Teng Yachu?

Teng Yachu (——) is a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, a director of the China Musicians Association, a first-level conductor of the China Broadcasting Art Troupe, a permanent conductor of the China Broadcasting Chorus, a permanent guest conductor of the China Film Symphony Orchestra, and a chief guest conductor of the Tianjin Symphony Orchestra. As well as an art consultant, he has served as a special judge for national music competitions and a judge for singers' comprehensive quality assessment for many times. As a quality judge of the National Young Singer Television Grand Prix, Teng Yachu's profound knowledge and humorous expression have won the love of the audience.

Teng Yachu grew up in his maternal grandfather’s house in Harbin. His uncle, who loved musical instruments, and his classmates and friends often gathered at home, each playing their favorite instruments and singing Russian folk songs. This inspired Teng Yachu’s musical literacy at a young age, and he played Erhu. , flute, violin and other musical instruments have become his toys. At the age of 4 or 5, he can explore and try to play his favorite songs. His grandfather also often took him to listen to classic music on an old gramophone at home. When he was 9 years old, Teng Yachu came to Beijing to study and was admitted to the Primary School Affiliated to the Central Conservatory of Music to study piano, composition and conducting. He studied from the Affiliated Primary School and Affiliated Middle School until he was 25 years old. He was "infected" in the art palace of the Central Conservatory of Music for 16 years. He studied piano with teachers Lou Qianmei, Liu Peiyin, Pan Yiming, and Zhu Gongyi, studied composition and orchestration with teachers Liu Zhuang and Dai Hongwei, and studied conducting with teacher Xu Xin. During the "Cultural Revolution", classes were suspended to start a revolution, so he went to a liberal arts university to audit literature, Chinese and foreign history, geography, and discussed philosophy, history of Western music, etc. with teachers and senior classmates. Even during the first 10 years after graduation, when he was assigned to the Central Broadcasting and Art Troupe Orchestra, which was one stop away from his alma mater, he went to his alma mater almost every week to listen to lectures and concerts and learn from his teachers.

In his many years of artistic practice, he has persevered and studied hard and achieved valuable artistic achievements. He has composed more than 30 instrumental music, more than 40 film and television music, nearly 100 songs, and more than 600 orchestrations. He has been well received by directors and audiences through radio, television, records and performances.

Teng Yachu, affectionately called "Teng Zhi" by people in the circle, is indeed a versatile musician. On TV, everyone is always surprised that he is a judge of the Young Singer Grand Prix for his artistic quality, and he is such an excellent piano accompanist. He is also a conductor and composer at the same time. He is simply a "generalist"! "Actually, the knowledge becomes easier the more you learn it, because the knowledge is comprehensive. When you learn composition, you will have more understanding and confidence in piano performance. When you learn conducting, you will have more rational analysis of composition. After studying musicology, philosophy, etc., you will have more insights into music." This is how Teng Yachu explained his "generalist theory."

“The most interesting thing is that at the 10th Grand Prix, some TV viewers saw that the judges on the stage and the piano accompanist off the stage looked so similar, and they mistakenly thought that we were twins. In fact, at that time It is also a last resort. Since the accompaniment scores of nearly a hundred songs in the competition were only finalized a few days before the competition, and many of them are simplified scores. The time is tight and the tasks are heavy and they have to face live broadcast. Many piano players feel embarrassed. This is also It’s something that makes me very helpless.” Teng Yachu’s helplessness also exposed the embarrassment of our country’s lack of artistic talents with comprehensive musical skills. There was no comprehensive quality assessment in the first seven sessions of the National Young Singer Grand Prix. The reason why this item was added from the eighth session is based on the consideration of the long-term development of my country's artistic talents. Our gold and silver awards can no longer be awarded to those who are illiterate and have no idea who Qu Yuan was!

“The cultural knowledge learned from the conservatory is far from enough for an artistic talent. The deeper your cultural accumulation is, the higher your artistic attainments can be. I always advise Young people should not be satisfied that they have learned playing skills. No matter how skilled they are, they are just a 'performer' at best. To become an artist or a master, 'kung fu lies beyond poetry'," said pianist Fu Cong. His playing skills may not be perfect from a professional point of view, but I like to listen to his playing very much, because the music flowing from his fingers has a high cultural taste and has its own unique charm. And some young people often have very high finger skills in piano playing. Although they have a gorgeous appearance, they lack musical connotation and cannot be called works of art. Michelangelo said: "People do not use their hands but their brains." Painting.” It’s the same thing in art, and it’s the same thing in music.

As a pianist, Teng Yachu feels that every time he plays a piece of music, he is expressing his emotions with his fingers. Playing for relatives and friends is what makes him particularly happy. You can be infected and moved by your performance. When accompanying singing actors, what he hopes most is to use passionate playing to inspire and mobilize the passion of the actors, so that they can perform at their best. Singers such as Li Guyi, Jiang Dawei, and Yin Xiumei commented: Teng Zhi plays the piano alone, which makes you feel like there is a band accompanying you.

As a composer, Teng Yachu believes that composing can use different notes and melodies to express one's own thoughts, allowing the band to play according to your thinking, and making music a tool for expressing your feelings. There is a way to control the notes. The mind is free and open. Conductors, on the other hand, use their own life experiences and insights to interpret other people's works. It can give you a sense of accomplishment of being in charge of an entire band and commanding thousands of troops.

As a musician, Teng Yachu is famous for his "tolerance" and "happy education" in music teaching. Teng Yachu, who is called a "good friend" and father-like by the children, was 10 years ago. He only taught college students and graduate students, but later he found that instead of constantly correcting the misunderstandings in methods and concepts of older children's performance, it was better to train them from an early age so that they could reach a higher level. So he began to carry out teaching attempts of "happy teaching", "appreciative education" and "demonstration practice".
