On January 29, 1979, Sui Feifei was born in Qingdao, Shandong. In November 1997, she was selected for the national women's basketball team coached by Ma Yuenan for the first time, and has since become a new generation of national women's basketball player. In April 1998, she was once again selected for the national women's basketball team coached by Ma Yuenan, and won a silver medal at the Bangkok Asian Games in December of that year. This was her first major medal since joining the national team.
