What are the musical characteristics of Daur traditional folk songs?

Most Daur folk songs have distinct rhythms and strict rhythms. The tone adopts the pentatonic mode of East Asian music, with occasional six-tone or four-tone scales. There are more palace modes, followed by Zheng and Yu modes. The melodies are mostly parabolic, which is closer to the Mongolian music style. However, due to many steps and few jumps, compared with Mongolian folk songs, it lacks some enthusiasm, unrestrained and rough temperament, but is more reserved, smooth and lyrical.
