Zhang Jie made his debut in 2004 by winning the National Championship of My Type.
Participated in Happy Boys in 2007; released EP "The Most Beautiful Sun". In 2008, he released the album "After Tomorrow"; he served as a torchbearer for the Beijing Olympic Games. In 2010, he released the album "This Is Love";
In 2014, he won the International Artist of the Year Award at the 42nd American Music Awards (AMA). In 2016, Zhang Jie’s I Want World Tour Concert was launched at the Workers’ Stadium in Beijing, becoming the first post-80s singer in mainland China to sing at the Workers’ Stadium.

Zhang Jie was born on December 20, 1982 in Chengdu, Sichuan. In 2001, he was admitted to the Department of Tourism and Art Design of Sichuan Normal University, majoring in tourism and hotel management. When Zhang Jie was in college, he won the honorary title of "Three Outstanding Students" of the school many times and received scholarships. Although Zhang Jie majored in tourism management at Sichuan Normal University, his persistence and love for music are still very strong.
In 2017, he became the first mainland singer to sing at the Oscar Dolby Theater; he was admitted to Madame Tussauds Chongqing; in October, he became the first mainland singer to sing in Europe. In 2018, he performed at the Bird's Nest in Beijing, setting a box office record for a single concert at the Bird's Nest.
