Yan Hongzhu

Guan Jie (1921—1944), a native of Shangyu, Zhejiang Province, was party member, the producer of China * * *, and once served as the captain of the Third Seventh Middle School of the Five Branches of the East Zhejiang Guerrilla Column of the New Fourth Army. In August 1944, he died in the battle of Dongbutou, Cixi, Zhejiang. Guan Jie and his Seventh Squadron were awarded the honorary titles of "Model Cadre" and "Model Squadron".

Xia Zun is a writer and linguist. The name was cast, and the word was gentle. Later (1912), it was changed to Zun, with the name of Guan. Shangyu, Zhejiang. Xia Mianzun is a pioneer of the New Literature Movement in China. His academic works include On Literature and Art ABC (World Bookstore, 193), Life and Literature (Beixin Bookstore), Outline of Modern World Literature (China Guoguang Society), Akutagawa Ryunosuke Collection, 18 Chinese Lessons, and Enlightened Chinese Lectures. On June 15th, 1986, Ba Jin, Ye Shengtao, Hu Yuzhi, Zhou Gucheng, Zhao Puchu, Xia Yan and others initiated a commemorative meeting for the 1th anniversary of Xia Mianzun's birth and 4th anniversary of his death in Shangyu, which was attended by more than 1,5 people at home and abroad.

Shi Zhiang

Sun Wenming (1928-1962), a China folk music erhu player, was born in Shangyu, Zhejiang. Later, due to the adoption of the Pan family, it was renamed Pan Zhiwang.

Chen Mengjia (1911 ~ 1966) used the pen name Chen Manzai, a famous modern philologist, archaeologist and poet. Born in a seminary in Xicheng, Nanjing on April 16th, 1911. My ancestral home is Shangyu County, Zhejiang Province. His father, Chen Jinyong, was a long-term editor of Shanghai Guangxue Society at the age of forty. He personally founded this seminary in Nanjing and served as "Tidiao" (Dean). He is a honest and simple elder. Chen Mengjia's childhood was spent in a very strong religious atmosphere, which left a deep mark on his world outlook and artistic personality.

Ma Yifu (1883-1967), born in Futian, was renamed Fu, with the word Yi Fu, also known as a Buddha, Zhan Weng, Bei Brown, and an old man who played opera in the evening. He was born in Changtang, Shaoxing (now Shangyu) and was a famous master of modern Chinese studies. The later generations' series is The Collection of Ma Yifu.

After liberation, he served as Party Secretary and Vice President of Wuhan University, Vice Minister of Central and South Culture and Education, and researcher of Institute of Philosophy of China Academy of Sciences. During the reign of Wuhan University, he acted arbitrarily and treated intellectuals cruelly. In 1957, he was assigned to the right faction and later corrected.

Chen Heqin is a modern educator in China. Born on March 5, 1892. A native of Baiguan Town, Shangyu County, Zhejiang Province. He lost his father at the age of 6, entered a private school at the age of 8, and was sponsored by his brother-in-law to enter Hangzhou Huilan Middle School at the age of 15. In February, 1911 (the third year of Qing Xuantong), he entered Shanghai St. John's University, and in the autumn of the same year, he transferred to Beijing Tsinghua School (renamed Tsinghua University in 1928). He graduated in August, 1914 (3 years of the Republic of China). In the same year, he was admitted to study in the United States at public expense ("Geng Kuan"), accompanied by Tao Xingzhi, studied at Johns Hopkins University and Columbia University, and obtained a master's degree in education from Teachers College of Columbia University.
