After the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, I went to work to listen to classes, evaluate classes, attend classes, and try classes. The "days of sitting in the office after class" in my dad's eyes have nothing to do with me. Although the body is very tired, fortunately, it is rewarding, which is also very fulfilling.
I just started working in September, and a week ago I received the news that I was going to prepare for an open class. So, I had a week to prepare. Let's take first-grade Pinyin teaching as an example to talk about how novice teachers can teach their first open class well.
At critical moments, we must be good at drawing on the strength of others.
After I received the assignment, I first consulted the experienced teachers in the office to see which class was easier to teach and could highlight the teacher's characteristics while avoiding the students' shortcomings. When I went to class today, the teacher taught the lesson "aoe", but she designed a poetry recitation session before class. When the students recited "Ode to the Goose", many children recited the poems from the author "Luo Binwang" "Bin" was pronounced incorrectly and became "bing". If the teacher corrects the problem at this time, the student will not be able to correct it immediately; if he does not correct it, the teacher will ignore the student's problem. The teacher suddenly fell into a dilemma. Therefore, when choosing courses, you must be clear about the pain points of students and avoid them during open classes.
I would also like to ask the novice teachers who have just taught open classes and ask them what the previous class evaluation teachers said. Through the comments of the class evaluation teachers, we can see the training direction of this school. Our training focus for this age group is definitely right to prepare in the direction they care about. There is very little content in the first-grade textbooks, and many students have already learned it in the transition from kindergarten to primary school. Obviously, the teaching content cannot be the focus. So what's most important? It was a habit formed at that time.
The habits of first graders include sitting posture, writing posture, listening habits in class, reading habits, and listening to others answer questions...it is definitely not enough to emphasize the habits of students alone. Look at it this way Inspired by the excitement, the child will "do whatever he wants" after passing the excitement level. We must combine habit cultivation and Chinese teaching throughout the 40 minutes of class.
Before going to class, I will shout "Get ready for class", and the children will say "Get ready". This means that they have prepared the Chinese books, pinyin books, and pens they need to use in class. After preparing school supplies, start class. At this time, you can remind the children to "head straight" and the children to "straighten their backs and keep their feet on the ground." When they are talking, the teacher can put both hands flat to signal, and the children will sit down immediately when they see it. When I need students to watch my demonstration or look at the blackboard, I will say "little eyes", and the children's eyes will answer "look at the teacher" and their eyes will immediately follow me. If at this time, some students just talk and don't move their eyes, be sure to call them by name and remind them. The teacher will see every move of the students. When the child starts to write, immediately remind him of the "Three Ones". When answering a question, remind the child to "raise your hand first if you want to speak" and "stand up straight and have a loud voice" when standing up to answer.
For activities such as lining up a train and students answering questions, be sure to arrange "personnel outside the activity". When our class was playing arranging the train, I would first ask "Where does the train leave?" and the children would pat their chests and say "Here it leaves". Find the kid with the best seats in a row and line up for the train. Ask the first classmate "Are you ready?". If he answers in a low voice, ask again. After arranging the row of students who need to line up for the train, ask other students, "When the students in this row answer the questions, what should the other students do?" The children in our class have already understood that they have to be "little referees". Listen to other students’ answers to see if they are correct. If there is a child who is not sitting well at this time, click on him and ask him how the little referee should sit.
In this way, habit cultivation is integrated throughout the classroom, so that it will not appear abrupt and is cultivated for the sake of cultivation.
The purpose of reading the teaching aids is to clarify the teaching objectives and see how many classes are divided into and what content needs to be taught in each class period. Novice teachers can read several teaching aids. Different teaching aids have different goals and teaching processes for each class period. By reading several teaching aids, they can choose a goal and process that suits them.
I personally prefer to read "Teaching Design and Guidance", "Famous Primary School Chinese Teachers·Text Teaching Interpretation and Teaching Activity Design", and "Selected Lesson Examples".
The editor-in-chief of "Teaching Design and Guidance" and the editor-in-chief of the ministry-edited primary school Chinese textbook are the same person - Teacher Wen Rumin. The course objectives of this book are very concisely written, and the teaching process is also clearly arranged. There are some questions and presets in this book, and you can promote classroom activities according to the questions in it. The role of "Famous Primary School Chinese Teacher·Text Teaching Interpretation and Teaching Activity Design" is similar to the "Teaching Design and Guidance" mentioned above, and it can provide some teaching ideas. The tips and class summaries in this book are good and can be used directly. "Lesson Selection" contains many classroom records of famous teachers. We can focus on the teacher's activity arrangements and "cohesive words". As a novice teacher, I often don’t know how to connect the two teaching processes. Once this link is over, I don’t know what to say in the middle. The beginning of the next link is very stiff, which will affect students’ enthusiasm for learning. If this happens to you, you can refer to the "Selected Lesson Examples" to find ideas.
Another highlight is watching the classes of famous teachers. I looked for videos of Zhuge Academy, 51 Academy, and Pinyin teachers from Saike.com to see how they teach Pinyin. The teaching contents are similar, and they teach reading and then writing. At this time, we should focus on the teacher's "teaching wisdom". After all, this is a real classroom. Classroom means "students will have various problems and behave in various ways", and there is a high probability that such problems will also occur. Appearing in his own class, we want to see how the famous teacher in the video responds.
The role of courseware is to assist teachers in teaching. Whether it is ppt or seewo, white space and alignment are a must. It is not advisable to make the courseware flashy and colorful. It is enough to put the key points that need to be presented in it. Say important things three times: the courseware only focuses on the key points! The courseware only focuses on the key points! The courseware only focuses on the key points! Let a teacher who doesn't know what you want to say read it and see if he can understand it. If he can't understand it, it means something is missing. Find a student and ask. If he copies your courseware throughout the class, it means that the courseware contains too much content and should be deleted.
Try to use light colors for courseware, and use a set of negatives from the first page to the last page, so as not to distract students too much.
It is enough to arrange two or three small games in the classroom. If there are too many, the children will only focus on the games and forget the knowledge they want to learn.
Find a few teachers you have good relationships with and go to their classes to try out classes to see how your time is arranged, to see how the students respond to your class, and to see where there are problems with the courseware... ··Finally, let your dear colleagues talk about any problems and make corrections based on the problems.
