The college currently has 51 faculty members. There are 43 full-time teachers, including 7 professors, 10 associate professors, 12 lecturers and 14 teaching assistants. Among the teachers, 42 have master's degree or postgraduate qualifications.

The School of Music currently has 636 full-time undergraduate students (including 116 from Xinhua College) and 6 master’s students. Students come from 12 provinces (municipalities and autonomous regions) including Ningxia, Shandong, Shaanxi, Sichuan, Zhejiang, Inner Mongolia, Xinjiang, Henan, Hebei, Tianjin, Hubei, Shaanxi, and Gansu. In the thirty years since its establishment, the college (department) has trained more than 2,000 full-time undergraduate and junior college graduates, who are distributed across the country and have become the backbone of educational positions, culture, art, and journalism.
