The Secondary Dance School Affiliated to Shenyang Conservatory of Music is one of the earliest dance schools established in China, the only professional dance school with a long history in Northeast China, and the "Peach Blossom Cup" dance awarded by the National Academy of Wenhua Arts One of the organizers of the competition. The school has four professional directions: Chinese dance, ballet, Chinese folk dance, and international standard dance.

The predecessor of the college can be traced back to the "Dance Professional Class of Northeast Lu Xun Institute of Literature and Art" established in Shenyang in 1948; in 1983, with the approval of the Liaoning Provincial People's Government, the Secondary Dance School Affiliated to Shenyang Conservatory of Music was officially established.

Since its establishment, the school has a reasonable structure and strong teaching staff. More than 100 students have won gold and silver medals in major international and domestic dance competitions, with remarkable results.
