Method 1: Automatically extract notation from MIDI. Compared with manual notation, this method is relatively simple. We can use a midi keyboard (or midi guitar) to first input the MIDI signal, and then directly export it into a musical notation. To do this we first need a midi track and input the note signal you want to make.
Select the MIDI track, then click Score or select Open Selection or press Ctrl+R, so that the note signals in the MIDI file can be displayed. Now click Scores, then Settings-Staff and then Tablatures. At this point we need to detect the checkbox and select the instrument as Guitar to activate tablature mode.
Sometimes we need a capo and certain tastes. We can find the capo through the Capo box and select the number of grades. The clef is automatically changed and a time value from 0 to 12 can be entered. No Stems/Rests can make the stems and rests in the MIDI signal disappear. This makes it easier for musicians to read music. MIDI channels 1-6 are six strings, and the numbers above are the notes to be played. Next, the string tuning can be selected through the String Tunnings table.
Here we can choose the pitch of each string. We can tune all 12 strings. If you don't need these strings, you can set them to Off mode. The input range is C#-2 to G8. After setting everything up, press Apply and you can see the notation of the midi file.
Method 2: Manually write music. You can also manually compose music in Cubase, which is useful when you don’t have a MIDI keyboard or guitar. First you need to add a MIDI track and use the Draw tool to draw a frame. Then click on Scores and select Open selection to get started. First go to Settings on the Scores page and enable Tablature mode.
Then select the number of strings you want, and just like before you can select your capo position, tuning, and any other settings you need to change. Then go to the staff settings in the Main menu to change the Clef/Key (notation and key) of your music score. Select the Instert Note tool and click on the note. Now, move the mouse up and down, and keep your eyes on the Mouse position. toolbar (mouse toolbar) that. When you find the note you want, click on it and it will appear on the score.
Post-processing, exporting, and editing. After creating your score, you may need to move a note from one string to another. Right-click on the note and select the Move to String option, then select the string you want to move it to. When you right-click, you can also see other functional options, such as changing notes, hiding notes, or adding vibrato. There are many different settings. You can also find these functions in the Scores menu.
You can also change the font format of the score by selecting the Score settings page. Select the Porject option from the Pages list and select Text Setting . When you select this, select Tablatures from the pop-up menu to change the font. You can then choose the font you want.
Export scores. When you have completed all the work, we can export this music score as a picture mode, such as JPG. You can preview it through Page View. We can also change the export format and finally export. To export a score, click Export from the File menu, select Scores, and save in the format you want.
