In Lithuania in the Battle of Belarus in p>1944, a 12-member detachment of the Soviet Guards Airborne Squadron led by a lieutenant was ordered to seize the bridge as a supply channel for German arms and soldiers and defend it for a whole day, in order to cooperate with the adventure of the general attack of the big army: the bridge stationed by the German 15-member guard was well guarded and mined, and the local guerrillas were preparing to blow it up.
