In 2004, our school’s first senior high school students were an instant success in the college entrance examination: 100% of the candidates passed the college entrance examination entrance line, the second-book passing rate was 55.2, and the key rate was 27.6. However, for the two senior high school students, the number of outstanding students enrolled in that year only accounted for 1.9 and 1.82 of the city's total.
Xu Jie, the first junior high school graduate, became the deputy monitor of the Tiananmen Flag Class; Hu Ying, a ninth-grade student in 2005, won the Huangshan Teacher-Student Host Talent Award repeatedly, and won the provincial and national awards in 2005 First prize in the first-class speech contest, and was admitted to the high school attached to a prestigious school in Beijing. All junior high schools have achieved good results in the Huangshan City High School Entrance Examination. The overall average score and improvement rate in the entrance examination rank first in Huangshan City, and the average single subject score ranks among the top two municipal schools.
The primary school’s educational practice of “comprehensive plus specialty” is second to none in Huangshan City, and various interest group activities are carried out in an orderly manner. The vocal music group and the dance group are hailed as "the cradle of future musicians and dancers in Huangshan City" by Huangshan City's art circles; the Children's Chess Academy and the Go competition named after the school have become traditional children's Go projects in Huangshan City.
