1. Calm Andante and gorgeous Polonaise op.22

This piece is a piano solo with orchestra accompaniment. Among Chopin's piano works, six are performed with an orchestra, two of which are piano concertos. The general performance method of this piece is to use the piano instead of the orchestra part. The whole piece is divided into two parts. The first section is the smooth Andante, and the second section is the gorgeous Polonaise.

Introduction: four measures, calmly decomposing chords, preparing to introduce the main melody. This accompaniment makes people feel like they are on a tranquil lake.

A: aba three-part form plus coda

a: It consists of two eight-bar musical phrases. The first half of the sentence is four bars, and then the second half of the sentence is the same. It forms a big phrase of eight measures, and then repeats it to form a section of sixteen measures. Of course, Chopin's repetitions always add decoration and changes to the melody.

b: This is a paragraph that is compared with paragraph a, but the contrast is not obvious at first.

Reappearance a: Same as the previous a, but with a counterpoint melody added in the next eight bars.

Small coda: The accompaniment pattern has not changed, and the melody is composed of sixteenth notes.

B: The time signature is changed to 3/4, and the music structure is ababa, which can be regarded as a rondo or a minor third.

a: A three-bar phrase, repeated.

b: Consists of two three-bar phrases.

Epilogue: It consists of the small coda of paragraph A and the theme of paragraph a of paragraph B.
