What are the characteristics of Bach’s musical genre?

Bach created all musical genres in the Baroque period except opera. One of his characteristics is the close combination of polyphonic texture and rich harmonic texture. No matter how many voices there are in the work, their respective melodies all progress simultaneously with equal status, and they all follow the overall progression of the chords at the same time. This reflects the characteristics of the transition from polyphonic music to tonal music in the Baroque period.
