Monkey Brother is the opening theme song of the animation "Journey to the West", sung by Zhang Weijin.

Zhang Weijin, born on March 18, 1966 in Shenyang, Liaoning Province, China, is a male singer, viola player and vice-captain of the Mengzhou Star Basketball Team in Mainland China. Zhang Weijin became a viola player in 1980. In 1987, he began to engage in pop music and became an independent musician. In 1990, he participated in the Spring Festival Gala and sang the song "The Red Belt of the Northwest Man".

In 1995, he participated in the opening ceremony of the East Asian Games and sang the English song "Barcelona". In 1997, he participated in the opening ceremony of the Eighth National Games and sang the song. In 1999, she sang the theme song "Monkey Brother" for China's first large-scale animated cartoon "Journey to the West". In 2011, she sang the opening song "Thousand Mountains" for the urban emotional violence drama "Thousands of Mountains Snow".
