Plot summary
The long-awaited summer vacation has finally begun, but for Masao, who is in the third grade of elementary school, there is nothing to be happy about. . All the friends went to the beach or to their parents' country to play, and even the football team stopped training for the holidays.
During the lonely summer vacation, even the campus paths that Masao was most familiar with seemed unfamiliar. Apart from jotting down the weather report in his diary every day, there was nothing left to write. Zhengnan's father died in a traffic accident not long after he was born, while his mother worked in a place far away.
Zhengnan, who lives with his grandma, decided to have an adventure during this summer vacation. The destination is Toyohashi, where Masao’s mother lives, which he has only seen in photos. Taking his diary, summer homework and monthly pocket money with him, Zhengnan left home.
