Song title: When You Get Old

Singer: Karen Mok

Lyrics: Yeats, Zhao Zhao

Composer: Zhao Zhao

When you are old

Your hair is white

Drowsy

When you are old

Can’t walk

Napping by the fire

Reminiscing about youth

How many people loved you when you sang in youth

Admired your beauty

Pretend or sincere

Only one person still loves your pious soul

Loves the wrinkles on your old face

When you are old

Brows drooped

The lights are dim

The wind is blowing

Your news

This is The song in my heart

How many people have loved you when you sang in youth

Admired your beauty

Pretend or sincerely

Only A person still loves your pious soul

Loves the wrinkles on your old face

When you are old

Drown eyebrows

The lights are dim

When I get old

I really hope

This song is sung to you

Extended information

"When You Are Old" is a song adapted by Zhao Zhao from the poem of the same name by the Irish poet William Butler Yeats.

On February 18, 2015, Karen Karen appeared on the Spring Festival Gala again after 11 years and sang "When You Get Old", which was also her EP single released in 2015.

The creation of this song stems from Zhao Zhao's feelings for his mother. He had been making music as a "Beijing drifter" before, and Zhao Zhao rarely sang songs for his mother. When he accidentally read the poem "When You Are Old" by the Irish poet Yeats, he suddenly thought of his mother's appearance under the dim light under the window, and wrote this song out of emotion. The lyrics come from the poems of Irish poet Yeats.
