Zhang Haochen, born in Shanghai in 1990, is a Chinese piano player and graduated from the Curtis Institute of Music.
In 2002, he participated in the 4th Tchaikovsky International Youth Music Competition for the first time and won the championship in the piano category. In August 2004, he held a piano recital at the 49th Polish International Chopin Music Festival. In March 2005, he was admitted to the Curtis Institute of Music in the United States with first place results. In 2007, he won the championship of the 4th China International Piano Competition. On June 7, 2009, he won the championship of the 13th Van Cliburn International Piano Competition in Texas, USA, and received a bonus of US$20,000 and a three-year performance contract.
In April 2013, he collaborated with the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra on "Beethoven's Fourth Piano Concerto". In July 2014, he collaborated with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra on "Beethoven Piano Concerto No. 5 in E flat major". On October 15, 2016, he collaborated with the Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra on "Beethoven's Third Piano Concerto" at the Xinghai Concert Hall.
