Xinghai Conservatory of Music, located in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, is the only institution of higher music major in South China; Xian Xinghai, Xiao Youmei, Ma Sicong, Li Ling and other outstanding musicians who lead the trend of modern music culture in China. The history of Xinghai Conservatory of Music can be traced back to the Guangzhou Conservatory of Music founded by China modern music education pioneers Ma Sicong and Chen Hong in 1932. In December 1985, it was renamed Xinghai Conservatory of Music in memory of Xian Xinghai, a Cantonese musician. According to the school official website in June 214, the college has two campuses, Guangzhou University Town Campus and Shahe Campus, covering an area of 224,961 square meters, including 189,993 square meters of University Town Campus and a construction area of 21, square meters. There are 3686 undergraduates in general education, 683 undergraduate and junior college students in adult education and 158 graduate students. The college enrolls students from all over the country (including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan), and at the same time recruits international students.
