Anqing City established the Anqing Huangmei Opera Troupe 1 and 2 in 1956. The two troupes merged into Anqing Huangmei Drama Troupe in 1982, and in 1982 it was renamed Anqing Huangmei Drama Theater (comprising the first and second troupes). The first troupe includes Tian Yulian, Ding Tong, Liu Guanghui, Wang Fuzhen, Si Shuxian, Dong Wenxia and other actors. The second troupe was originally a youth team composed of graduates of Anqing Huangmei Opera School, and is now the third troupe of Anqing Huangmei Opera Theater. The Anqing Huangmei Opera Troupe was established in 1982 in the former Anqing area. Its predecessor was the Anqing District Experimental Huangmei Opera Troupe. After the merger of the prefecture and the city, it was changed to the Anqing Huangmei Opera Theater Second Troupe. The main actors include Han Zaifen, Li Ping, Ma Cailou, Wang Fengzhi, Zhang Wenlin, Li Ping, etc.

Anqing Huangmei Opera Troupe is the parent troupe of Huangmei Opera performing artists Yan Fengying, Wang Shaofang and a large number of famous Huangmei Opera actors. It was officially established in February 1956. Its predecessor was the People's and Shengli Two Troupes established in the 1940s. As a performance entity, the troupe once held training classes for Huangmei Opera actors, and based on this, it gradually developed into the Anhui Huangmei Opera School. The troupe has performed more than 300 plays and has toured all over the country. Yituan has participated in the filming of the films "The Match", "The Prince Consort", "The Cowherd and the Weaver Girl", and "Spring Breakfast in the Shop". "The Broken Jade" was made into a movie by Beijing Film Studio, and "The Jade Belt" was made into a three-part movie by CCTV. A collection of Huangmei Opera TV series, "The Princess and the Emperor" was filmed into a TV series by Jiangsu TV Station. At the same time, the group has won many awards at the national, provincial and municipal levels. Ma Zijun won the title of "Top Ten Actors" at the national level, Zhao Yuanyuan and Man Ling won the title of "Top Ten Actors" at the provincial level. The play "Wealth and Fortune" won the Outstanding Performance Award at the 2nd Huangmei Opera Art Festival in Anqing, China in 1995. Anqing Huangmei Opera No. 2 Troupe was founded in 1957. It has created and performed Huangmei Opera classics "The Consort" and "Xi Shi", "The Peacock Flies Southeast" and other widely influential excellent plays, and filmed "Zheng Xiaojiao" ", "The Prince Consort", "Flower Girl", "Meng Lijun" and many other excellent TV films, which won the "Five One Project Award", "Feitian Award", "Magnolia Award", etc., and won the Popular Television Award five times. "Golden Eagle Award". The main actor Han Zaifen is one of the "100 Outstanding Literary and Art Writers in the Country". Anqing Huangmei Opera No. 3 Troupe is composed of graduates from Anhui Huangmei Opera School in 1957, 1958, 1959, and 1966. It was founded in 1962. The actors in this troupe have solid basic skills and a complete range of professions. After graduates from the 1983, 1986, and 1989 classes of the drama school joined the troupe, the lineup became more tidy and they successively rehearsed "The Fairy Match", "The Consort", "The Female General of the Yang Family", "The Legend of White Snake", "Spring River" "Moon" and more than 100 plays, four of which were made into movies, and seven of them were made into TV series with 23 episodes, including "The Cuckoo Girl", "The Mistake of Mr. Bao", "Seven Fairies and Dong Yong", and "Love in Tianzhu Mountain" , "Huangshan Love", "Hua Tian Cuo", etc. all have national influence. The troupe has won many awards in national, provincial and municipal performances and competitions.
