"Thunder in the Dry Sky" is a very representative piece of Guangdong music. It was first seen in "Music Reading of String Songs" compiled by Qiu Heqian in 1921. It was originally written by Yan Gongshang, a Guangdong music composer and dulcimer player. (Yan Laolie) A dulcimer piece adapted from the second section of "Three Treasures Buddha", "Three Waves", and later became a Cantonese music piece. There are many forms of performance available.
