The Vienna New Year Concert is a symphony orchestra.

Symphony orchestras are divided into woodwind group, brass group, string group, percussion group and harp.

woodwind group: piccolo, flute, oboe, English pipe, clarinet and bassoon.

copper tube group: small, French horn, trombone and large.

string group: violin, viola, cello and bass.

percussion group: percussion group is divided into pitch group and non-pitch group.
